Why This Funding Matters

BIASC serves South Carolinians across all 46 counties, connecting people affected by brain injury and their families with resources, referrals, education, and ongoing support. In FY25 alone, BIASC staff responded to 372 requests from South Carolinians seeking resources, referrals, and other support.
The proposed $500,000 in state funding will help BIASC continue and strengthen this statewide work, from helping survivors and caregivers find resources to providing education, support, outreach, and connections to services. This is a statewide investment that benefits constituents in every legislative district.
