Who We Are
The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina (BIASC) is the statewide “voice” for people living with brain injury, their families, and the professionals who support them. As South Carolina’s only nonprofit dedicated solely to brain injury, we understand the unique challenges our neighbors face and know how to connect them with the right care, resources, and community.
We’re also the leading advocate for better services and protections. BIASC serves on multiple state committees and task forces, including a permanent seat on the South Carolina Brain Injury Leadership Council (SCBILC)—the state’s official advisory body established by South Carolina law and the federal Traumatic Brain Injury Act of 1996. Through this work, we help shape policy, improve care pathways, and raise public awareness.
Our impact is powered by generous donors, members, sponsors, and grantmakers. Together, we’re building a safer, more supportive South Carolina for everyone affected by brain injury.
