Your voice makes a difference!

On August 11, 2026, the South Carolina General Assembly will reconvene to vote on the state budget for the current fiscal year.

We're asking for your help.

Please take a few minutes to call or email your state representative and senator and respectfully ask them to support the state budget, including all supplemental projects. The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina has been included in the supplemental project list for $500,000, which would help us continue providing education, support, advocacy, and resources to people living with brain injury in all 46 counties across South Carolina.

Personal messages are especially meaningful. If BIASC has ever helped you, your family, or someone you know, we encourage you to share a few words about your experience. A sample letter is included below, and you are welcome to personalize it.

Not sure who represents you? Find your state legislators now.

Thank you for standing with BIASC and the thousands of South Carolinians we serve. Your voice truly can make a difference.

Sample message:

Dear Representative/Senator _______________,

My name is _____________, and I live in your district. Thank you for your service to our community.

I am writing to respectfully ask that you support the appropriations for the Brain Injury Association of SC in the FY27 Final Budget.

BIASC is the only organization in SC dedicated to serving people affected by brain injury in all districts in the state—including yours. Through education, advocacy, support groups, information and referral, and outreach programs, they help individuals and families in every county across South Carolina—including those right here in our community.

Personally, BIASC has helped me ____________________________________________. Thank you for your consideration and for your continued service to the people of South Carolina.

Sincerely,
