Brain Injury Awareness Month Begins at Soda City Market Feb. 28
March is Brain Injury Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing understanding and supporting individuals and families affected by brain injury. BIASC is proud to kick off the month with a community presence at Soda City Market in Columbia, SC.
On Saturday, February 28, BIASC will be at Soda City Market sharing educational resources, raising awareness about brain injury, and highlighting the importance of prevention, research, education, and advocacy across South Carolina. Community members are encouraged to stop by the BIASC booth to learn more, connect with our team, and support survivor-created products.
“Brain Injury Awareness Month is an opportunity to elevate voices that are often unheard and to remind people that recovery looks different for everyone.”
“Brain Injury Awareness Month is an opportunity to elevate voices that are often unheard and to remind people that recovery looks different for everyone,” says Joyce Davis, Executive Director. “Awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to stronger support for individuals living with brain injury.”
Walk, Run & Roll for Brain Injury Awareness
At the market, BIASC will also be highlighting its annual Walk, Run & Roll for Brain Injury Awareness, a statewide event series that brings communities together to support brain injury services, education, and advocacy across South Carolina. The Walk, Run & Roll will take place on March 22 in three locations, offering something for everyone—whether you walk, roll, run, or cheer from the sidelines.
Participants who register onsite at Soda City Market will receive a custom deck of Brain Injury Awareness playing cards as a thank-you for supporting BIASC’s mission.
